Professor Pietro Ricca was born in Moderate (Ragusa), Italy, on February 11th 1951.
Pietro studied Art in the Institute of Art in Venice, Italy, and graduated in Architecture from the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, (IUAV).
He teaches “Projects in Graphics” at the Institute of Art and collaborates with the Venice International School of Graphics as an instructor of "Visual Techniques" within their Advertising Curriculum. Additionally, he is a freelance illustrator for Publicity Agencies and Editorial Houses.
His work has been published in many books and periodicals, and he has participated in a plethora of exhibitions in Italy as well as abroad. Although he mainly works in the advertising industry, he also illustrates children’s books and scientific publications.
He uses all the traditional techniques: watercolor, feather pencil, scraper board, brushes Pantone, as well as the techniques of etching, linoleum and xylography.
