The exhibition "Portrait of Silence" by artist José Manuel Guerrero and curated by Javier Ferrer, presents at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de la Valldgina (Valencia) 18 fascinating photographs that reflect on the current state and the daily lives of three Carthusian Monasteries in Valencia: Porta Coeli, Vall de Crist and Ara Christi. The images reveal on one side, architectural spaces that are usually inaccessible and on the other, a meditative dimension that leads to the philosophical reflection, captured and expressed with a non common poetic. Javier Ferrer said "The project presents images and installation, where the embodiment of the silence in a true artistic challenge. A silence intended as the search of a revelation beyond the earthly appearance of things, that delves into the infinite to be finally represented in the non - matter, the void".
