PRIMAVERA ACQUISITIONS

As a proud supporter of the next generation of artists, the MCA has acquired for its permanent collection a substantial number of works by emerging Australian artists, many of whom are now well established in their careers.To make a work of timeless art: MCA Primavera Acquisitions presents a selection of works by former Primavera artists acquired by the museum over the past 17 years. The exhibition provides a unique insight into the history of the popular Primavera series whilst highlighting key works by emerging and established Australian artists including Shaun Gladwell, Gail Hastings, David Rosetzky, Nike Savvas and Tim Silver.

This solo exhibition presents the work of leading Sydney-based Malaysian artist, Simryn Gill. It reveals the artist's pursuit of meaning through materials, forms and ways of working and is focused around new works from the past five years including photography, objects, collections, books and text pieces.
