Peter Paul Rubens, Jan Wellem und Anna Maria Luisa d'Medici: The works that remain in the museum's possession from the former Electoral collection, complemented by a selection of high-calibre loans, form the point of departure of the show; but surely its centrepiece is the monumental painting of the Assumption of the Virgin by Peter Paul Rubens, on permanent loan from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
