Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes | | Conceived as the maximum representation of culture in Mexico, the Palacio de Bellas Artes is an emblematic pillar of the urban panorama in Mexico City. It was declared an Artistic Monument by UNESCO in 1987. Over 70 years old and younger than ever, it has an imposing and magisterial presence in the heart of the metropolis. The Museum of the Palacio de Bellas Artes is a space for reflecting on modern and contemporary art with exhibitions that encourage the questioning of traditional concepts and generate critical debate, in line with the concept of a modern museum today. It showcases murals by Mexico’s leading artists in works which not only have a great aesthetic value but also maintain a permanent dynamic with national and universal history. This is further complemented by a programme of temporary exhibitions of national and international importance.
