The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art opened to the public on October 9, 1993. The Stenersen Museum is part of the City of Oslo’s Art Collections. It houses three private art collections, all of which were donated to the city at one time or another: Rolf E. Stenersen’s Collection, Amaldus Nielsen’s Collection and Ludvig O. Ravensberg’s Collection. Exhibition space in the Museum totals about 1800m2, spread over three floors.
