Emily Jacir is the iwnner of Seventh Biennial Hugo Boss Prize
HUGO BOSS and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation have announced that the winner of the HUGO BOSS PRIZE 2008 is Emily Jacir Ms. Jacir, who had won the Golden Lion Award for an artist under 40 at the 2007 Venice Biennale. The biennial prize, carrying a stipend of U.S. $100.000, is administered by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and juried by a distinguished international
panel of museum directors, curators and critics. The award is conferred upon artists whose work represents a significant development in contemporary art, and sets no restrictions in terms of age, gender, race, nationality, or media.
