Giotto uncovered thanks to the ultraviolet rays
Uncovered a Giotto’s original painting at the Peruzzi Chapel,Florence,Italy. Thanks to the research conducted by Los Angeles Getty Foundation and the Florence Opificio delle Pietre Dure, a new image by Giotto has appeared. Besides the frescoes, Giotto did some "secco" paintings on dry plaster, resulting in a more fragile composition which colours were absorbed along the years. Now, the ultraviolet rays reveals the complete, magnificent image made by one of the most important painters in the history of the world.
