HUMA3 FLASH: ART WORLD NEWS

 

A stolen Picasso has been recovered: the police in São Paulo, Brazil, have found “The Painter and the Model”, one of the three artworks stolen last month (June 12th) from the Pinacoteca do Estado.

 

 

%%imagen1%%The other stolen Picasso print is “Minotaur, Drinker and Women,” from 1933, and two paintings by Brazilian artists Lasar Segall and di Cavalcanti (Mujeres en la ventana by Di Cavalcanti and the watercolor "Casal" by Segall) which are still missing. The combined value of the four works has been estimated in aroun 400.000 euros and belong to the Jose and Paulina Nemirovsky collection.
