Balla died in 1958

1 March, 2016

Italian artist Giacomo Balla (July 18, 1871 – March 1, 1958) was a painter and poet and one of the founders members of the Italian movement called Futurism.

The title “Futurist Reconstruction” refers to one of the key texts of the Italian avant-garde movements of the 20th century: the Futurist reconstruction of the universe manifesto, signed in 1915 by Giacomo Balla and Fortunato Depero.

In his art, Balla created a pictorial depiction of light, movement and speed.
