Modigliani. Genova pays homage to the Italian artist “maudit”
16 March, 2017 - 17 March, 2017
As of March 16, Palazzo Ducale in Genova, Italy, celebrates the singular art of the Italian artist maudit, Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920) in an exhibition that offers the chance to enjoy his drawings, paintings and sculptures coming from European museums as well as private collections.
“Modi” is one of the most loved of all modern Italian painters, whose creative development find him at the epicentre of avant-garde experimentation in Paris, between 1906 and 1920.
Renown by his portraits and nudes demonstrate an artistic vision entirely his own, as he explored and created new ways of conceiving art after admiring major paintings as Toulouse-Lautrec and Cézanne.
