Henri Matisse in 60 seconds, thanks to Tim Marlow

Artistic director of the Royal Academy of Arts London, Tim Marlow, gives a 60-second introduction to Henri Matisse, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

Matisse’s early experiments with colour led to one of the 20th century’s first avant-garde art movements, and his simplification of form pushed his art almost to the point of abstraction.

Enjoy.
