White Cube to represent artist Christine Ay Tjo

White Cube has announced on April 27th, 2018, the representation of Indonesian artist Christine Ay Tjoe.

Philosophy and spirituality are integral themes in Ay Tjoe’s work, with a focus on the human condition as filtered through her personal experiences. Although visually seductive, her expressive works deal with the abject subject matter, attempting to connect with our most powerful emotions and deep psychological fears.

Ay Tjoe was born in 1973 in Bandung, Indonesia, where she studied and continues to live and work.

A solo exhibition of the artist will open at White Cube Bermondsey in November 2018.
